A good hair transplant clinic in Turkey tells you who plans and performs each step, limits the number of patients per day, plans the number of grafts from your donor area instead of promising a fixed number, and gives you a written price and aftercare plan. Compare clinics on these points, not on price or the number of grafts alone.
1. Who does what on the day?
Ask which doctor plans your hairline and the number of grafts, who opens the channels and who takes and places the grafts. International hair restoration societies warn about clinics where unqualified staff do the surgical steps without a doctor. A clear answer to this question tells you a lot about a clinic.
2. How many patients per day?
A transplant takes most of the day. A team that treats many patients at the same time has less time for each one. Ask how many procedures the team does on one day and whether yours is the only one in the room.
3. Be careful with graft promises
- The number of grafts depends on your donor area, not on the package. A safe plan takes only what the donor area can give without looking thin.
- Very high fixed numbers in advertising are a warning sign.
- Ask for a plan based on photos of the front, top, crown and back of your head.
4. The technique matters less than the plan
FUE, DHI and sapphire FUE take the grafts the same way; they differ in how the grafts are placed. Read our comparison FUE or DHI and the overview of hair transplant techniques. A clinic that pushes one technique for everyone without seeing your hair is a reason to ask more questions.
5. Is your hair loss stable?
Younger patients can still lose hair in the coming years. A careful doctor plans for that, for example with a natural hairline and, when needed, medical treatment alongside the transplant. For women, the cause of thinning should be checked first; see hair transplant for women.
6. What the price includes
| Ask about | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Hotel and transfers | Usually part of a package; check the number of nights. |
| Medicines and shampoo | You need them for the first weeks. |
| First wash and check-up | Usually done at the clinic before you fly home. |
| Aftercare at home | Who answers your questions during the shedding phase? |
7. Reviews and before and after photos
Look for reviews on independent platforms with photos taken many months after the procedure, not only on the clinic's own website. Results take 12 to 18 months, so very recent photos show little.
8. Red flags
- No doctor's name before you book.
- A price that is far below other clinics without a clear reason.
- Pressure to book quickly or a discount that expires today.
- No written plan and no aftercare contact.
